THE DIGITAL TWIN OF 1505
The Digital Twin of the 1505 Watch
The 1505 Watch is currently being digitally recorded and analyzed.
In this context, the term “Digital Twin” refers to a data-based, technically validated digital reference model of a physical object. It constitutes a constructively reliable representation that systematically captures and model-based reconstructs geometric structures, component architecture, mechanical parameters, and functional interactions.
In the current phase of work, the project is exclusively focused on the internal mechanical system of the 1505 Watch. In cooperation with an internationally leading technology company in the field of CAD engineering and digital system modeling, high-resolution data acquisition and parametric reconstruction of the historic movement are being conducted.
The objective is the controlled analysis of constructive principles, manufacturing tolerances, and kinematic relationships of the mechanism.
This work serves the long-term technical, historical, and documentary safeguarding of the object in the sense of sustainable heritage preservation.
Once results are cleared for publication, further information will be provided here.
